I am committed to keeping your personal data safe and secure.

Due to a change in the law, I am updating my Privacy Policy to make it easier for you to understand what information we collect and keep, why I collect this information and how your data is being handled when you cease using my services.

I will take all appropriate technical and organisational steps to protect the confidentiality, integrity, availability and authenticity of your data.

The purpose of this policy

This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand what kind of information I collect in connection with my service and how I will process and use this information. In the course of providing you with services I will collect and process information that is commonly known as personal data.

This Policy describes how I collect, use, retain and safeguard personal data. It also sets out your individual rights to know what data is held about you, how this data is processed and how you can place restriction on the use of your data.

About Adoration Art

There are two aspects to Adoration Art: a healing practice and an art studio. In my healing practice I offer Health kinesiology, Theta and Reiki healing. I have a dedicated therapy room at my home in Hanwell. My art studio is also at my home and I offer paintings for sale, work to commissions, and classes in both art and craft. My Commissioned work helps people to connect to their highest wisdom, intuition and true self.

What is personal data?

Personal data is information relating to an identifiable person. Examples include an individual’s name, address, contact details, but also age, date of birth and gender.

Personal data may contain information which is known as special categories of personal data. This may be information relating to, and not limited to, an individual’s health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic and biometric data, or data relating to sexual orientation.

Personal data may also contain data relating to unspent criminal convictions and offences. For the purpose of safeguarding and processing criminal conviction and offence data responsibly, this data is treated in the same manner as special categories of personal data, where we are legally required to comply with specific data processing requirements.

Collection of personal data

For Therapy Clients I record your name, date of birth, and contact details (address, telephone number, email address)

Plus all relevant medical information or details of our discussions pertinent to the issue you are coming to me about. I record notes for all your appointments.

For art and craft students I have your contact telephone number and email address.

For Art Clients where you are commissioning a painting I have the full name, D.O.B for persons that you have requested a painting for. Also your contact phone number and email address.

I collect and record data that you have given me from email and phone, from my website and when we are working together in a therapy setting.

How I use personal data or / why do we need your personal data

I have a professional and legal obligation to keep an accurate record of my interactions with my therapy clients. I record notes for all our appointments to report on the concern(s) we address and log treatments given.

I require client contact information, so I can send appointment reminders, advise any appointment changes, and pass on information relevant to particular clients resulting from the work done in our session.

I require the full name and DOB of people for whom I am creating a commissioned painting, as that is how I energetically connect to them and receive what I need to paint. I also retain record of who I have painted for as part of my accounting records.

I hold the contact details of those who have commissioned work in order to be able to notify you when I have completed work and wish to send it to you plus check that you received it.

For art and craft class attendees I hold contact information to send out, updates and reminders on when classes are to be. I may also send out information on where and when I am taking part in exhibitions or markets to student and people who have commissioned work from me in the past.

How I protect your personal data

All of my client records for therapy and art works are kept on paper and in a lockable filing cabinet. They are solely for my use.

Emails sent to me via my Website, currently hosted by Siteground come through to my Hotmail account and I pick up your details from there.

Transfer of personal data outside the UK

I have no requirement to send any client data out of the UK and do not do so.


Currently my website only uses uses cookies to keep track of shopping cart data as follows: WooCommerce makes use of 3 cookies:

  • woocommerce_cart_hash
  • woocommerce_items_in_cart
  • wp_woocommerce_session_

The first two cookies contain information about the cart as a whole and helps WooCommerce know when the cart data changes. The final cookie (wp_woocommerce_session_) contains a unique code for each customer so that it knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. No personal information is stored within these cookies.

My website does not collects visitors’ IP addresses.

Links / social media

My website is not automatically linked in to any others.

All data is for my own use and I do not share data with anyone.

Currently I do not write a newsletter.

Your rights

As a client you have certain rights, which can be found on the ICO web site

  • the right to be informed;
  • the right of access;
  • the right to rectification / update and change your details;
  • the right to erasure;
  • the right to restrict processing;
  • the right to data portability;
  • the right to object; and
  • the right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling

Individuals can exercise their Individual Rights at any time. As mandated by law I will not charge a fee to process these requests, however if your request is considered to be repetitive, wholly unfounded and/or excessive, I am entitled to charge a reasonable administration fee.

In exercising your Individual Rights, you should understand that in some situations I may be unable to fully meet your request. For example if you make a request for me to delete all your personal data, I may be required to retain some data for legal purposes as advised by my insurance cover. (see below)

How long do we keep your personal information?

With therapy clients I am required by law and my insurers to keep your records for a period of 7 years from the date of the treatment and for minor from for 7 years after their 18th birthday.

Artwork clients I hold your information and those of the people I have painted for mainly for my accounts records for a period of 7 years.

Art and craft students I will have your contact details until I no longer run classes, or request to no longer be included.

How do we store your personal information?

Paper records for therapy and art clients are kept in a locked filling cabinet. I keep contact email details for clients on a password protected computer.


For the purposes of meeting the Data Protection Act 2018 territorial scope requirements, the United Kingdom is the named territory where the processing of personal data takes place.

Any dispute or claim arising out of this Privacy Policy and the use of your personal information will be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any such dispute or claim.
